Having been born in India and raised in Newfoundland, I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to be immersed into such diversity of cultures, religions and traditions…and oh don't let me forget climates!!

We moved to Newfoundland when I was very young and lived in various rural areas around the province. I started at Memorial University in Corner Brook in 1984, where I met a multitude of friends from the Northern Peninsula, one of whom eventually became my husband! We initially explored career options in western Canada for a few years, however sooner or later we felt the lure of the "Good Ole Rock" beckoning us back home. Plum Point has been our home ever since. It is a wonderful place to raise kids. I really enjoy the community oriented atmosphere; "Your neighbours become your close friends or the same as family". I am very happy we have built our life here on the Northern Peninsula, and we are here to stay!
